Instrumental Music

Our Mission: The University School of Nashville Instrumental Music Program strives to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for students to experience a wide variety of culturally significant and educationally relevant styles of instrumental music.  As each student encounters numerous musical opportunities including private lessons, small and large group study, and improvisation, this program strongly supports personal and social growth through creative expression and polished performance.  Every instrumentalist is encouraged to strive for individual musical excellence but still maintain a disciplined approach to group rehearsal, and this program desires to instill in all students a love and respect for the history, theory, techniques, and performance of instrumental music.
