What Parents Have to Say About USN Summer Camps

"I am so thankful that we signed up for the ACT Prep Camp in June. This class really improved [my son's] test-taking skills. After the first day, he could not wait to get home and take a practice test. He felt so very confident after each day. His overall composite increased by 9 points. I thank Ms. Patel and your school for improving his self esteem and confidence. I would highly recommend this class to other parents."

"I'm writing to thank you and everyone involved at USN summer camp for giving [our son] what he said was, 'The best summer camp I have ever been to in my life!' It thrilled us every afternoon at pick up to hear his enthusiastic accounts of his adventures. [He] enjoyed himself so much that he asked if he could go to school at USN all the time. Thanks to the amazing introduction that you provided to the school."

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for providing my son with such a wonderful summer camp experience. He loved every second of it. We will definitely be back next year."

"[Our son] thought soccer was the best camp ever and he is really enjoying the 2 camps this week now. You know, we spent over $300 for ball camp at another school this year and it was great, but he will tell you that the USN camps are even better."

"[Our daughter] has enjoyed this week at cub camp even more than last week (which is hard to believe since last week was so awesome!)"

"I have heard only positive feedback from [my daughter] about the ACT camp. Each day, she is so proud and excited that she improved a little bit in a different subject. She was not 100% eager to come to the camp, but certainly walked away saying that she would take this again before she takes her ACT for real. Obviously she has learned a lot and enjoyed learning very much. Thank you for making this ACT camp (it could easily have been geeky) fun and enjoyable. A good teacher makes the world of difference. I appreciate your great effort and fun style so much."

"I didn't think it would be possible that [our daughter] could love a camp more than Art, but she had a WONDERFUL time at Expressive Arts & Movement. Thank you for providing really fun experiences!"

"[Our daughter] seemed to really enjoy her first day and was eager to go again today!"

"My husband gets to do drop off and he was very impressed with the decor [for Cub Club] in the atrium. [Our daughter] was a little hestitant about starting camp this morning, but when she saw how great everything looked she got really excited!"

“Fabulous camps this summer! [My child] has done many of them and really enjoyed them all."

“The camps are wonderful. I wished I had signed [my child] up for more of them.”

“Another great camp...or 2 camps! [My son] really loved lacrosse and even though he was exhausted, he enjoyed art as well.”

“I have heard so many good things from many people: even those not in the same camps as [our child].”

“Both my children had a great time at the camp and we are planning to sign them up for longer next year. USN is just the greatest place.”

“What a special experience. Every evening he came home and couldn’t wait to tell us all about what he did in class.”

“[Our son] explained not only what he did but also all of the facts and detailed learning he gained each day. My husband and I were thrilled to see the sparkle in his eye and the enthusiasm and energy he revealed as he talked about 'school.'”

“It was one of the special times in [our son’s] life that he will not forget. It was wonderful witnessing his excitement and love of science. WOW! Thank you so much!”

Campers signed up for both morning and afternoon camps during the same week should bring a sack lunch.  Our staff will supervise those students, giving them time to eat and some playground or other recreation time until their afternoon sessions start at 12:30.  The staff will escort those children to where they need to be for their afternoon camp.

Sports Camps Held at River Campus
River Campus will be open for our morning session sports camps, and a few other programs that may take advantage of our athletic faciity.  In the event of inclement weather, our sports camps will move indoors to gym space at our Edgehill campus.  If we need to cancel a program, we will notify you.

Aftercare Hour
Campers staying for the 4:00 - 5:00 aftercare hour will typically be in the Lower School aftercare room.  The entrance to this is located at the back of the school, through the blue door, where a world map is painted on the concrete.  Some afternoons we will be in the Cheek gym or out on the field.  At 5:00, we will bring campers out for pick-up on 19th.
