Devin Kellett Receives Sertoma Club Honor

by Pat Miletich, history department chair

Recently Devin Kellett was honored at a banquet at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel for his essay on immigration.
The Sertoma Club of Nashville sponsored the Freedom Essay contest and invited the four students, their families, and school representatives to the banquet where the students delivered their essays as speeches. The essays addressed the topic:  “Should the provisions of our founding documents, i.e., the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence, be applied to immigration in cases where the person has entered our country illegally?  If so, how?”

Devin received a $2,000.00 scholarship to be applied to college expenses, and USN received a check for $100.00.
