What are ecosystems, and how do they work?  During this camp, you'll explore ecosystems in the wild and in the lab.  We'll visit several local ecosystems, including deciduous forest, stream, wetland, backyard, and others.  In the process, students will get to know some of Middle Tennessee's animals and plants, learning how they work together to survive.  You'll also notice and test how humans influence the wild
ecosystems around Nashville.  Students will gain experience in capturing invertebrates, testing water and soil, testing biodiversity and evaluating stream health.  In addition, students will construct their own complex ecosystems to keep as a reminder of their experiences in this camp.
