By visiting the Library homepage on the USN site, you can easily connect to a variety of valuable resources. We encourage our entire school community to log on and nurture their Information Literacy Skills.
Looking for a Book?
From the Library homepage, select the Online Catalog link and then select the option From outside USN: Destiny Online Catalog. This will allow you to search USN’s OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) and find out if the materials you or your child needs are part of our collection. You can read book summaries, see if a book is currently available, and get the call number and title information. If an item is checked out, just ask a member of Team Library to place a hold on the item for you.
FYI – Parents are invited to set up a personal USN library patron account and check materials out. Just stop by the circulation desk and let a member of USN Team Library know you would like to have borrowing privileges.
Looking for articles from a newspaper, magazine or journal? Need an encyclopedia article, dictionary definition, or map?
Go to one of our sixteen comprehensive electronic databases. Patrons can access the databases from home using the USN remote passwords. The passwords are available in a printable list in a special in the FirstClass email desktop. Ask your MS or HS students how to log in to their USN email account and look for the Library Online Database folder. If you would like the list and do not have a USN email account or a MS/HS student within your reach, email mrankin@usn.org and we’ll forward you a copy.
