The Hassenfeld Library is open every school day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The collection contains over 25,000 items, all accessible through an online catalog. The library subscribes to over 147 print periodicals, with back issues available for circulation. Seventeen subscription databases provide in-school and remote access to thousands of periodicals, journals and digitized resources. A digital media server provides easy access to over 2,400 educational videos on demand. At present the library has 26 PCs with CD-ROM capabilities and direct internet access. Students may search the library's collections from any computer throughout the school building or remotely from home.
The three level, 20,000 square foot library also houses a student project room, a copy room, a library classroom, and a story room. Seven small group study rooms, not reserved for any group, are
available on a first come, first served basis throughout the school
day. Other features include areas for comfortable reading, individual study carrels, study tables, and computer tables.
