NetDay SpeakUp survey!

SpeakUp_anim.gif

Now in its fourth year, NetDay Speak Up is an annual national research project that collects the voices and views of key stakeholders in education on topics such as educational technology, science, math, and 21st century workforce skills. Over the past three years the project has collected the viewpoints of over 562,000 K-12 students from all 50 states, as well as 26,000 teachers.

For the first time this year, USN is asking Teachers, Students, and Parents to take the few minutes required to add to this useful database. We will benefit by having access to both local data and the compiled national data! We have committed to a goal of having 15% or more of each sector of our school community complete its appropriate survey. We can do it! The deadline for completing the survey has been extended to December 15, 2006!

Please click here to visit the NetDay SpeakUp survey site. Once there, locate University School of Nashville and enter our "secret word," which is simply "tigers" (lowercase). Parents may take the survey without the password. Thank you! The results of the surveys are shared with participating schools and districts so that they can use the data for planning and community discussion. In addition, the findings and data are used by local, state, and national organizations and government agencies to inform new programs and polices.
