All USN technology facilities are maintained by the Technology Team consisting of the division level Technology Coordinators and the Technology Staff. In addition to at least one state of the art PC in each classroom, there are three fully outfitted computer labs:

The Lower School Technology for Learning Lab, 211W

The Lower School has a dedicated lab with 21 computers. This  lab is is fully scheduled during the week, with 20 regularly scheduled computer classes, K-4th grades; and each classroom of 4th graders come for two additionally scheduled Process Writing times weekly. Blocks of "Sign-up" times are routinely filled with classes completing computer-facilitated work for special classsroom projects. The Lower School  Technology Coordinator, Scott Merrick, works with each teacher and class during  their scheduled time and provides general advice and support  to Lower School faculty and staff as needed. He also serves as the entire school's Distance Learning coordinator, scheduling and facilitating interactive videoconferencing connections via our mobile Polycom SP128 unit. The lab features a ceiling mounted LCD projector for direct instruction and individualized stations for the students.

The Middle School has a fixed lab of 23 computers and one mobile  lab. The mobile lab is stored on a cart with a laser printer  mounted on top. This makes the entire system truly  portable and yet  compact. The mobile lab contains 20 Toshiba laptops complete  with wireless access to our school-wide network. All of this  equipment is maintained  and managed by the Middle School Technology Coordinator, Jake Wilson. He also teaches the two computer electives. The Middle School labs and equipment are used on a sign-up basis.

The High School has two fixed labs and one mobile lab. The main  lab consists of 22 computers and is used by students, teachers,  and classes on a drop-in and sign-up basis. English, Math, Science, and  Foreign Language  classes typically sign up for over half of the  available time each week. Penny Phillips, the High School Technology  Coordinator,  oversees the functioning of the main lab and is available to  High School faculty and staff as needed. The other lab is maintained  by  the High School Computer Teacher, Warren Davidson, and contains  14 machines. Here such classes  as  Visual Basic, tech skills, C++,  and advanced web design are taught.

The Tibbott Center opened in the summer of 2003. The digital  graphics studio has more than a dozen G4/G5 Apple Macintosh computers,  along with high-resolution printing and scanning capabilities.  Digital video and graphics classes are taught in this lab.
