Donations by mail
Donating cash (via check) is the simplest and most direct way to give to USN, and the contributions are fully deductible.  Gifts can be made by sending a check to USN, 2000 Edgehill Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212.
 
Donating securities
You don’t have to use cash to make your gift.  Instead, you can use long-term appreciated securities that have been owned for at least a year and have increased in value.  Making a gift of appreciated securities benefits a donor in two ways:  the donor receives a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the securities, and at the same time avoids capital gains taxes on the appreciated securities.

Planned Giving:  the Robert K. Zelle Society
You can make a gift that costs you nothing during your lifetime.  Make us the beneficiary of your will or trust or a beneficiary of your retirement plan.  Or make us a partner in your planned giving – you may wish to retain an interest in your gift, such as the right to receive income from it.  Under certain circumstances, your gift may entitle you to tax benefits.
 
Memorial and Honor gifts

Gifts of Endowment
A gift for endowment demonstrates your long-term commitment to USN.  An endowment is a fund that is maintained in perpetuity, and only a portion of the annual investment return is used for the purposes specified by the donor.  The rest of the investment yield is returned to the principle.  Thus, over the years, the fund can grow. Such endowments, which typically bear the name of the donor(s), reflect your interests and serve as an enduring testament to your generosity.
